The most common understanding of art is that it captures aspects of reality. It makes new fleeting thoughts, objects and feelings, mitigating the numbing effect created by the pace of the world we live in. Allowing us a moment to pause, connect and reflect upon something familiar yet entirely new.
Reflection exhibits the work of 5 Malaysian artists whose works all depict a moment of contemplation. The works on show convey their respective creator’s conscious effect to reflect upon lived experiences, conversations, frustrations and engagements that invite the viewer to do the same not only within the space of the gallery but within the ever-growing space of their own world
